The election conducted by the National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes ended in a crisis.

It was a free for all fight session and blood flowed freely when members of the National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes
(NANP), gathered to conduct an election to elect officers into various
positions, as the election venue became rowdy, with tempers flaring and
violence taking over the venue, a popular hangout in Lagos.
According to eyewitnesses, the fracas broke out after the former secretary of the sex workers,
Jessica Elvis, was declared the National President, after polling a
total of 300 votes to beat the incumbent president, Madam Efoyo Felix
who got 153 votes while Tamar Tion, from Nasarawa State, got a meagre 63
votes.
But rejecting the results, Felix pointed
out that it was marred with irregularity and rigging perpetuated by the
electoral committee chairman, Franka Chikam.
In
the melee that followed Felix's demand for another election to be
conducted, a fight broke out and a member who was said to be loyal to
her, was stabbed with a broken bottle while several others sustained
various degrees of injuries.
